Humesha hi kuch naya hota hain. Last ek saal ko dekhe, toh humne qareeb 13 – 14 series launch ki hain Hotstar par. Humne 3-4 non-fiction shows launch kiye hain. COLORS pe humne 10-12 shows launch kiye hain, movies humne theatres par ki hain aur Hollywood movies release hui hain. Recently saal ke aakhir mein humne Naagin launch kiya. At the beginning of the year, Mahadev & Sons launched on COLORS and JioHotstar. We have Mounaraagam and Dr Aarambhi that are coming soon. We have a non-fiction show coming up, which is The 50, also most recently, Splitsvilla has launched. We have Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 that’s coming soon. OTT par Space Gen: Chandrayaan aa rahi hain January 23 ko. Humari koshish yeh hai ki hum aise shows banayein jo doosre deshon mein bhi adapt kiye jaa saken. We are doing a bunch of other Hollywood movies such as the next installment of Toy Story and The Devil Wears Prada. On the Indian movie slate, the upcoming films are Hanu-man, Drishyam 3 and another 4-5 movies. So we have a lot of offerings across mediums.
Aaj kal log OTT ki taraf mudd rahe hain, more than TV. Aap kaise uss cheez ko balance karte hain, choose karte hain ki kaunsa content OTT par jaana chahiye ya kaunsa content TV par?
Log TV se OTT switch nahi ho rahe hain. Yeh ek galat understanding hain. Log OTT par bhi dekh rahe hain. Pehle koi agar do ghante dekhta tha, ab teen ghante dekh raha hai. So, ab jo ek ghanta extra dekh raha hain woh OTT par bhi dekh raha hain. So consumption requirements have changed. So switch nahi ho rahe hai but log OTT par bhi dekh rahe hain. Agar aaj koi online cheezein khareed raha hai, isska matlab yeh nahi ussne dukaano mein jaana band kar diya hain. Ussi tarah log content ke sabhi maadhyam use kar rahe hain. Aaj bhi 90 karod log TV dekhte hain aur 2 se 3 ghante TV dekhte hain. Hum yaane ki JioStar, ek entertainment media company hain humara lakshya hain to entertain people across screens. So bohot kam farq padta hain iss baat ka ki idhar dekh rahe hain ya udhar dekh rahe hain, as far as woh dekh rahe hain. But television is not going anywhere; television manoranjan ka sabse bada maadhyam hai. Ho sakta hain, ki hum aur humara circle TV kam dekhte ho, but we are not the world; the world is bigger than our circle. Hum itne saare logon ka pratinidhitatv nahi hain. Kuch cheezein OTT par chalti hain aur kuch cheezein television par chalti hain and we make a decision based on that. Do shows hain humaare jo TV aur OTT – dono par badhiya chal rahe hain. Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment ki viewership TV aur OTT pe kaafi impressive hai. Bigg Boss ki ek tihaayi viewership agar OTT se aati hai, toh baaki ki do tihaayi viewership television se aati hain. Humne dekha hai jab show chalta hai, toh dono jagah chalta hai. Jab show nahi chalta, toh kisi bhi platform par nahi chalta kyunki audience same hain. Bohot saare log Bharat mein, dinn mein phone par content dekhte hain, aur family ke saath TV par dekhte hain. Viewers phone, TV, theatre – sab dekh rahe hain. Competition is about grabbing eyeballs and the interest of the consumer and not so much about platforms.
