The sequence of events, which begins with the discovery of social media star Julia Montgomery’s dead body in an abandoned amusement park, leads the reader toward the decades-old dark history of the St. Helena Orphanage.
Clumps of hair found at every crime scene, a mysterious locket, and an unknown character named ‘The Ferryman’ bring such twists to the story that they keep the reader hooked until the very end. The suspense deepens further with the entry of a character named Logan. “To the past that tried to break me—I hope you are watching.” This indicates that this is not just an ordinary murder mystery, but a deep personal battle is hidden behind it.
